How to drain and refill the oil in the Haldex clutch

We need the following special devices, control and measuring devices, as well as auxiliary means:

 

1. Haldex 2 VAS 6291 coupling filling device.

2. Pallet for service cranes VAS 6208.

 

 

How to drain the oil from the Haldex clutch

1. Place the pallet.

2. Unscrew the threaded plug of the drain hole and completely drain the oil for the Haldex clutch.

3. We turn the new oil drain plug and tighten it to the specified moment.

How to pour oil into a Haldex clutch

1. Place the VAS 6208 capacity under the main gear crankcase.

2. To add oil, we use the Haldex 2 VAS 6291 coupling filling device.

3. Unscrew the threaded plug of the filling hole A.

4. Disconnect adapter A and corner connector B.

5. Turn adapter A to the stop. Fix corner B on adapter A.

6. We lay the hose of the refueling device above the drive shaft. The hose should not sag. It should come out from under the car at the back, above the left rear wheel.

7. Check that the arrow valve is closed.

8. Return tank A to the Haldex 2 VAS 6291 coupling filling device.

9. Open the tap and hold the tank as shown in the picture.

10. Pour oil into the Haldex clutch.

11. The Haldex clutch can be considered properly primed if oil has appeared on adapter A. If the oil protrudes, put the tank below the level of the Haldex coupling (for example, on a tool cart). Drain the excess oil into the tank. If the oil no longer flows, remove the device for filling the Haldex 2 VAS 6291 coupling. The Haldex coupling must be filled to the lower edge of the oil filling hole.

12. We raise the car.

13. Return the new plug of the filling hole A.

14. Check the oil level.

Tightening torque:

1. Oil filler plug for Haldex couplings — 15 Nm.

2. Threaded plug of the drain hole for oil for Haldex clutches, replace the plug after removal — 32 Nm.
