How to check the oil level in the Haldex clutch

To check the oil level in the Haldex clutch, we need the following special devices, control and measuring devices, as well as auxiliary means:

• Tester.
• Pallet for service crane VAS 6208.

Necessary conditions for performing the procedure for checking the oil level in the Haldex clutch:

• The temperature of the oil should be within 20 - 40°C.
• If necessary, you need to make a trip to warm up the oil.
• The car must be on a flat, horizontal surface.
• The main gear must be locked in the mounting position.

To check the oil level in the Haldex clutch, we perform the following actions:

1. Place the VAS 6208 collecting container under the crankcase of the main gear.

2. Unscrew plug A.

3. The oil level corresponds to the norm if the Haldex clutch housing is filled to the edge of the filling hole or 3 mm below the edge of the filling hole .

Tightening torque:

1. Oil filler plug for Haldex couplings — 15 Nm.

2. Threaded plug of the drain hole for oil for Haldex clutches, replace the plug after removal — 32 Nm.
