General functions of electronic engine management systems

Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI). The sensors collect information about the operating parameters of the engine. They are divided into three groups: contact, resistive and pulse. With the help of actuators, the electronics control the process of preparation of the fuel mixture and its injection into the engine cylinders.

Modes in which car internal combustion engines work:

• engine start mode
• low load mode (including idling)
• mode of operation at medium loads
• mode of operation at full loads
• mode of sharp increase in loading
