1.9 TDI - direct-acting turbocharged diesel engine installed in Volkswagen car groups, manufactured and continuously upgraded in 1991-2011. Subsequently, the 1.9 TDI also appeared in the Ford Galaxy, near the VW Sharan and Seat Alhambra.

The new 1.9-liter TDI engine with a capacity of 100 liters. with. (74 kW) with injection pump-injector system was developed on the basis of a 1.9-liter TDI engine with a capacity of 109 liters. with. (81 kW) with camshaft and without intermediate shaft. This self-study program covers the design and operation of a new pump injection system, as well as modifications to the fuel system, engine control system and mechanical engine components to accommodate the system.

 

A diesel engine with a pump injection system has the following advantages over an engine with a distribution pump:

• Low combustion noise;
• Low fuel consumption;
• Net emissions;
• High efficiency.

 


These benefits are due to the high injection pressure of up to 27,846 psi (192,000 kPa / 1,920 bar) and the pre-injection phase.
