First of all, there are several main rules that are not too different from those that should be applied to other cars:
1. When cleaning the interior, the car doors must be open.
2. You should use only means intended for cleaning cars.
3. Cleaning agents may contain dangerous or harmful substances: safety rules must be followed.
How to take care of car paintwork
When taking care of the paintwork of the body, first of all, you should check the condition of its various chrome parts and painting. Detected deep scratches may be foci of further corrosion. Rust must be dealt with immediately. It should be removed from the chrome surface, and the protected area covered with varnish. Rust can be removed with a special agent based on chemical reagents, as well as with the use of chalk or tooth powder applied to a dry, soft cloth. Depending on the location of the corrosion, its size and the shape of the lesion, the movements of the rag can be circular or straight with light pressure. Any violation of the paintwork of the body will weaken its protective functions against corrosion, so the area with corrosion that has reappeared is immediately cleaned with sandpaper and covered with enamel. Larger surfaces are primed and covered with paint and enamel. Once a month, measures should be taken to restore the gloss of the body surface and care for the paintwork from the influence of the external environment by applying a protective wax layer with polishing water, and every 3-4 months - with a wax paste. If the lacquer has lost its original shine and has become matte, then you should resort to polishing (filling of microcracks and pores, removal of protrusions).
During the operation of the car in the cold season and in conditions of high humidity (sea climate), chrome parts should be lubricated with technical vaseline or oil and the lubricant should be renewed every 2-3 months. Cleanly washed and dry painted panels should be regularly treated with special means to protect the surface from the effects of meteorological conditions with the help of water-repellent wax, which fills the pores and cracks of the painted paint.
Depending on the condition of the paintwork, the car body coating is divided into new, weathered and old. With this in mind, the industry has established the production of various polishes. Each product has a passport-label with the technology of its application. Polishing is recommended to be carried out in the open air, in the shade at 20 degrees Celsius, while dust should not get on the surface of the car.

How to properly polish the lacquered surface of a car:
1. Apply a polishing agent to a cotton swab.
2. Divide the part that needs to be polished into parts - and carry out the procedure in this way.
3. Evenly apply the polishing agent to the required area of the car surface.
4. Polish the surface with quick circular motions until the solvent evaporates. The thickness and uniformity of the glossy film of the body paint depends on the quality of rubbing the polish.
5. To evaluate the quality of polishing, conduct the following experiment: apply water to the polished panel and if the water does not roll off the panel coating after polishing, but spreads over a large area, then repeat the polishing process.
During the movement of the car, resinous substances get on the surface of the body, which eat into the paint within a short time, forming heavy stains that cannot be completely removed. Fresh stains are removed with a soft cloth soaked in purified gasoline ("B-70" brand). In the absence of such, you can use "A-95" gasoline, kerosene or turpentine. After that, the treated surface should be washed with running water. Bitumen stain remover is very effective against tar stains.
How to care for the leather interior of a car
Under the influence of ultraviolet, the skin loses color, burns. Moisture contributes to stretching, loss of shape and presentable appearance. Under the influence of high/low temperatures and overdrying, elasticity is lost, cracks may appear very soon. Therefore, care for the leather interior of the car is constantly needed.
We recommend cleaning the leather upholstery with a napkin or a vacuum cleaner. Dust and dirt penetrate into the pores and folds, which leads to severe abrasion and premature brittleness of the skin surface. Skin care is recommended approximately every two months.

If you decide to do the cleaning yourself, you can divide the procedure into several stages and for each stage choose the appropriate means for caring for the leather interior of the car. In addition to car cosmetics, you will need wet wipes, microfiber cloths, brushes, and cotton buds when finishing the leather interior. So, how to properly clean the skin coating of the car interior:
1. First clean using a vacuum cleaner and/or a damp cloth to clean the interior of the car.
2. When the surfaces are cleaned of dirt and dust, treat them with special care products. In most cases, conditioner is used, which is sprayed over the leather interior and then thoroughly wiped with a microfiber cloth.
3. After using the conditioner, when 10-15 minutes have passed, a product intended only for the skin is applied to the skin, which keeps the material elastic, soft, shiny or matte - depending on the desired effect and the selected car cosmetics. Special wax and oil-based products are popular.
How to care for the soft upholstery of the car interior
Vacuum regularly. For heavy soiling, such as drink stains, use a soft sponge or microfibre cloth and a suitable internal cleaner. Clean soft upholstery on a large surface up to the seams. Avoid strong friction.
How to care for wheels with alloy wheels
In winter, clean the discs with special means. Do not use aggressive, acidic, strong alkaline and harsh cleaning agents or steam cleaners at temperatures above 60℃, follow the manufacturer's instructions.
How to properly clean alloy wheels:
1. Wash off the dirt from the discs with plain water, and then dry them.
2. Spray the wheel with a special cleaner.
3. Wait a few minutes (the time should be indicated on the label of the cleaner).
4. Thoroughly clean the discs with a special brush. For hard-to-reach places, you can use an old toothbrush.
5. Remove dirt and detergent residues with a cotton cloth and warm water.
6. Apply a special protective agent to the discs.
Important: the wheels must be cold for the most effective cleaning. Heated wheels can reduce the efficiency of the cleaner!
How to care for rubber car parts
Treat rubber parts with water, only rubber lubricant can be used from automotive chemicals. To care for the rubber seals, do not use silicone-containing products to avoid damage or noise in the car.
How to care for plastic car parts
Plastic car parts include:
- ceiling;
- glass for lamps;
- protective glass of the instrument cluster;
- matte black details.
Use a microfiber cloth for cleaning. If necessary, slightly moisten the cloth in water and use a plastic care product. Do not allow the ceiling to get wet.
Important: To avoid damage to the surface, do not use cleaners that contain alcohol and solvents, such as nitro solvents, cold cleaning reagents, gasoline, etc.
How to care for car seat belts
Contamination on the belt prevents its retraction and reduces the safety of passengers. Therefore, they should be cleaned regularly with a weak soapy solution - you cannot use chemicals. They do not need to be disassembled for cleaning.
Important: retract the straps only after they are dry.
How to care for car carpeting
First of all, consider a few important rules:
- Do not place foot mats or other objects in the area of the pedals, otherwise they may interfere with the operation of the pedals. Do not stack the rug on top of other items.
- Use only special car-specific foot mats.
- Make sure the mats are securely fastened again.
To clean the interior, the foot mats must be removed from the car. Carpet should be cleaned with a microfiber cloth using water and fabric cleaner.
How to take care of car sensors/video cameras
To clean sensors or video cameras, use a cloth moistened with glass cleaner.
How to care for car displays/screens
Use a microfiber cloth to clean the displays. Do not use chemicals or common household cleaning products. Any liquids and moisture can damage the display surface and electrical parts. Do not allow liquid to enter the display. Do not press on the display or use abrasive materials to clean it.
