How to reset a Volkswagen error code

Important: the combinations must be reset after all faults have been removed. Erasing codes without debugging will end with the problem remaining, but information about it will be deleted from the memory of the control unit.

To display combinations after self-diagnosis, follow these steps:

1. After reading the errors, press the economy mode key of the heating unit. Hold the button for three seconds.
2. After exiting the combination we get the code 444 on the screen.
3. Press the economy mode button again to leave the self-diagnosis menu.

If you use a tester to check, the removal is performed as follows:

1. After reading the codes in the car turn off the ignition. The wire from the scanner or adapter does not need to be disconnected.
2. Press the key to close the contacts on the device.
3. We activate the inflammation. After 5 seconds, open the contact elements.
4. The ignition in the car is switched off. All combinations of faults will be erased from memory.
