How to open Range Rover Velar 2018 with a mechanical key

Note to all drivers: both the battery in the car key and the battery can discharge unexpectedly. And then it will no longer be possible to open the vehicle in the usual way - using the buttons on the key. The only exception is the momentary replacement of the battery in the key. But there is not always a spare battery at hand. So what to do if you still need to go to the salon?

To begin with, we get a mechanical key from an electronic key.

And follow the simple instructions.

We insert the mechanical key into the special hole located in the door handle on the driver's side. To do this, we press on the left part of the handle, pulling the right part towards us.

We make turns with a key, as shown in the photo.

First, clockwise:

And then counter-clockwise:

We pull out the key and release the handle. After that, the handle will mechanically return to the standard position. And later we pull it on us once more: it will open the door.

Now you can get into the salon.

By the way, during the manipulation of the mechanical key, the security alarm will go off. Such a non-standard reaction of transport can be explained: if the battery in the key is dead, then the car simply does not see it. Therefore, you need to perform the following actions .
