Where are the airbags and how do they work?

1 - Frontal NPB.
2 – Frontal NPB.
3 – Main NPB.
4 – Lateral NPB.
Front airbags
Front inflatable airbags protect the driver and passenger in the event of a frontal collision, when the action of seat belts alone is insufficient.
Side airbags
In the event of a side impact, the side airbag supports the body in the chest and pelvis area.
Main airbags
In the event of a side impact, the main airbag protects the head.
Protective action
Airbags do not deploy in any collision. For example, they do not work in minor accidents, sometimes in rear-end collisions.

How to avoid injury during airbag deployment
- Do not lean against air bags.
- Always hold the steering wheel by the edge, place your hands at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions to minimize the risk of hand injury.
- There should be no other people, animals or objects between the airbags and people.
- Do not use the front airbag cover on the front passenger seat as a storage area.
- Leave the dashboard and glass in the front passenger area free, that is, do not cover them with adhesive film or covers and do not install holders, for example, for a navigation device or a mobile phone.
- Make sure that the front passenger is seated properly, i.e. not resting their legs or feet on the instrument panel, otherwise their legs may be injured when the front airbag deploys.
- Do not use covers and upholstery on the front seats, do not place other items on them that are not specifically approved for use on seats with built-in side airbags.
- It is forbidden to hang items of clothing, for example, jackets, on the backs of the seats.
- Make sure that passengers keep their heads at a sufficient distance from the side airbag and do not lean against it, otherwise the airbag deployment may cause injury.
- Do not dismantle the NPB system.
- Do not disassemble the steering wheel.
- It is forbidden to glue, cover or in any other way modify the covers of inflatable airbags.
- Do not under any circumstances make any changes to the wiring of the system or its individual components. This also applies to the lining of the steering wheel, instrument panel, seats and longitudinal bars, as well as the edges of the ceiling.
Also, provided that all instructions are followed, depending on the circumstances, damage due to contact with airbags cannot be excluded. Sensitive passengers may experience short-term, usually short-term, hearing impairment due to noise from ignition and inflation.
Lock switch for the front passenger airbag

The front and side airbags for the front passenger can be deactivated and reactivated with the integrated key from the electronic key.
How to disable airbags
1. Insert the key and press it again.
2. Press and turn it to the OFF position. And then pull it out.

Important: Make sure the switch lock is in the appropriate end position, otherwise the airbags will not be deactivated/activated.
How to turn on the airbags
1. Insert the key and press it again if necessary.
2. Hold it, press and turn it to ON. And then pull it out.

Important: Make sure the switch lock is in the appropriate end position, otherwise the airbags will not be deactivated/activated.
Front Passenger NPB Control Lamp

The front passenger airbag warning light is an indicator of the status of these airbags. After the ignition is turned on, the lamp shows whether the NPS are activated or deactivated.
When the front passenger's airbags are deactivated, the control lamp lights up continuously:

When the front passenger's airbags are activated (functional), the warning lamp does not light up.
